Re: Ipad and ART USB Dual Pre question

I have one. All that's needed is what i listed above(plus mic of choice, cable etc) unless you need phantom power...then you will need a battery. It works great for me with an ipad2, and condenser mic's, or a direct instrument(guitar, or bass). I do not need a powered usb hub. It is poorly sheilded ...

Re: Ipad and ART USB Dual Pre question

No, you do not need drivers. Just the camera kit, and a usb cable.

Re: Best hardware for audio input

Don, Thanks so much for the tip about the Apogee jam as a vocal interface with dynamic mics. I'm going to pick up one of those adapters from Radio Shack. The SM7B is a low output mic, right? If the Jam can provide a strong signal with the SM7B, it should be fine with an SM58, right? Artie I would n...

Re: Best hardware for audio input

And what about the Tascam iU2? Did you have a chance to try it out? I'm seeing mixed opinions on that, but maybe it would be worth a try? After my experience with the line6 mobile in, and scanning through the amazon reviews, i decided to not try the iU2. My desires for use at this juncture: Portabl...

Re: Best hardware for audio input

Thanks Don! That's a lot of useful information :) I have a few more questions - did you have any luck in recording with an i5 thru the Apogee Jam? And what about the quality from those recordings - were you satisfied? I'm also wondering - this xlr-to-jack adapter is very short and knowing my setup ...

Re: Best hardware for audio input

I have collected a few devices that work with my ipad2, and one that works surprisingly well with my iphone 4s as well. One is the ART dual pre that you mention. Others have mentioned noise problems, and questioned shielding. I have been able to reproduce unwanted noise during long, overdub intensiv...

Re: LATEST UPDATE 3.1.6.2

I'll never know if unplugging was the problem unfortunately...iTunes overwrote and deleted the "good backup" because i had not set it to "prevent ipods...from syncing aytomatically" in preferences>devices tab. But i can see it now, that it would have probably made no diffe...

Re: LATEST UPDATE 3.1.6.2

Silly question: I backed up my iPad, also copied all of my projects to a folder on my desktop as well. I ejected my iPad from iTunes, and deleted MTDAW. I downloaded the current version from the app store, and verified that it initiates properly. I plugged my iPad back in to the computer to resync, ...

Re: Revisiting File Transfer

Re: wifi transfer: In your computers browser, on your project's page, scroll down the page... Toward the bottom, below the individual tracks, and bins... You should find an option to choose your entire project "download project". All of your tracks should be in the resulting zip file after...
