Re: Export Whole Project to Other DAWs

Hi Steve, Yeah I've looked at this countless times in the past. The main problem is, there doesn't seem to be a simple output format that the community can agree on. So far all we get are bloated formats designed by committee like AAF, which is like a database with all kinds of nonsense. I didn't wa...

Re: Error Message When Attempting to "Open in"

Hi Jeremy, That sounds really strange. Something might have gotten corrupted in iOS, like the extensions registration so iOS doesn't know how to open files of a certain type. MultiTrack simply asks the system to present the system supplied sharing dialogbox, if it returns nothing, multitrack will pr...

Re: Unable to arm tracks

Hi aviavi, This might be the samplerate bug on the newer iPhones, which will also be fixed in the upcoming release. The workaround currently is to always use headphones. The problem is that the internal speaker/mic on the iPhone 6 and later use 48 kHz, so IAA nodes must be created at the hardware sa...

Re: Maximum recording time?

Lets try and calculate this here so it makes sense to me again. I like to do this occasionally because I always forget. 24 bit audio is 3 bytes. In stereo, that would be 6 bytes per 'frame'. There are 44100 frames in one second of audio. So far we got 6 * 44100 = 264,600 So 1 minute would be (60 * 2...

Re: Track input setting

Hi flyinbryan, If the interface is detected properly you should see a popup when opening a song or when plugging in the hardware, which says the name of the hardware, and the 'IN' fader (lower left) should change to represent the number of input channels (up to 4 or 8, depending on iphone/ipad.) It ...

Re: How to listen with Bluetooth speaker?

Hi Mitch, The next version of MultiTrack will have bluetooth support for playback on A2DP systems, on iOS 10 and later. It's only a recent addition to iOS to allow bluetooth in a play and record category, where bluetooth output could be used for playback and the internal mic for input, but it's fina...

Re: Bluetooth playback

I've been experimenting with bluetooth A2DP playback, iOS 10 has a mode for this and it works :D So the very next version will support playback through A2DP and recording through the regular microphone. The delay is horrendous, on the order of a 1/4 second, so not recommended for monitoring or overd...

Re: Christmas Gifts

Uhg, sorry for the delay, I totally missed your message. It's been rough. So MultiTrack will have an update and day now, still waiting on a few odds and ends. Thanks for the interest :D

Re: can't email corretly

Hi Suzahn, Hmm, it might be a problem with the playback app not observing the samplerate. What is the samplerate of the song project? To find out, close the song and look at the icon for it, it should say something like 16/44.1kHz. You should usually match the song format, so that no conversions are...

Re: Background Feedback on iPhone

Welcome fiona19, Yes, if you're going to use the built in speaker you must absolutely have input monitoring turned off for recording. But about the background noise issue, it sounds like it might be the internal compressors/eq that Apple uses. You can turn it off for multitrack in the Settings app, ...
