Re: transferring projects to new iPad

Hi Frank, One way is to backup the old device and 'restore from backup' onto the new one, but if you don't want to do that, the next easiest way is to use iTunes File Sharing from a computer to access the Shared Documents folder on the old device and drag the song project folders out to your desktop...

Re: How to close program iPhone X

Hi Bass88, It should be possible to close multitrack on the iPhone X just like any other iPhone, however multitrack will stay running under certain conditions. If it is playing or recording, or if there are any IAA plugins being used on the song, multitrack will stay running in the background. So, y...

Re: 1 channel to 2

Hi TimRyland It's possible, by using copy/paste. Pan the track all the way to the side that has the audio you want to make mono, and copy the region to the pasteboard. Then create a new track, Arm it for mono, paste and align it in time with the old region (make sure 'Snap' is on), then delete the o...

Re: Recording with someone overseas

Hi Annalee123, Yes, you can share the project with her and then she would add her tracks and edits, then share the modified project back to you. Do this by zipping the project into an archive and sending it. You can long-touch the song icon, then tap the 'zip' sub-icon to make an archive of the proj...

How to use the 'Sound Copy' App Extension

Sound Copy is an external app extension that allows copying of audio files to the General Pasteboard outside of MultiTrack, using the Intua Copy Style of data format. Using this app extension will save a step, it is useful to avoid a file copy into multitrack and subsequent copy to the pasteboard. ...

Re: "Compressed folder is invalid" error on opening project .zip

BTW, if you recorded the tracks all in parallel, you may have the right idea which is to just get the raw bins which should also line up. A way to do this is iTunes File Sharing, then you can just drag the entire song project folder out of the shared documents folder, and it will transfer over the u...

Re: "Compressed folder is invalid" error on opening project .zip

Hi Corduroy Road, That is certainly a large zip file. It's possible that something went wrong during the archiving of that large a project. The zip header is written last before the transfer stage, is it possible that the device ran out of space while archiving? Also, the project archive is really i...

Re: IAA Soft Drummer issue

I have an email in with the developers of Soft Drummer. It seems that since multitrack is working with other drum apps, they might be doing something wrong with their implementation. I'll let you know when I find out more. When you start soft drummer manually and record in multitrack, is it synced w...
