MultiTrack DAW 4.3

MultiTrack 4.3 is now available on the App Store! - New preamp gain knob, controls how much signal is sent to the IAA effects chain for each track. - Effect Knob drag types (horizontal, vertical, or both). Initial setting is automatic (if you drag vertically, option will be set to vertical). Can be ...

Re: Meter

Thanks for the suggestion. As it is now, the meters are peaking logrithmic and will always clip the bitspace when the red is reached, on a peak. So it's more of a visual indicator of clipping, since the final mix is normalized. So it's ok to go into the red on tracks, but the output mete going into ...

Re: Add scales to EQ graph?

Great suggestion! That meter really should have those logarithmic lines for reference. Thanks for the kind words!

Re: Loop / Repeat regions?

Hi Dazzaxjr, It's a great suggestion, originally the reason it didn't have easier looping had to do with a really technical boring answer :) involving caches. But I really should look into this again. It seems to be a common pattern of pasting a loop and needing to simply drag a loop handle to repea...

Re: NEWBIE! How to record keyboard onto iPhone app

Hi JayBird,

It depends on the keyboard but usually you'll need an audio interface then you can just plug the audio outputs of the keyboard into the interface. Take a look at some examples here: http://www.harmonicdog.com/inputoptions/

Re: Autostart / sync IAA or Audiobus applications

Hi Dazzaxjr, It sounds like Drum beats+ might not support IAA synchronization. MultiTrack is filling the HostCallback with the proper data, so if it doesn't sync to tempo/start/stop/position it might be the app. I haven't tried that particular app, but I know the FunkBox app can sync. first set the ...

Re: Export Whole Project to Other DAWs

Hi Steve, Yeah I've looked at this countless times in the past. The main problem is, there doesn't seem to be a simple output format that the community can agree on. So far all we get are bloated formats designed by committee like AAF, which is like a database with all kinds of nonsense. I didn't wa...

Re: Error Message When Attempting to "Open in"

Hi Jeremy, That sounds really strange. Something might have gotten corrupted in iOS, like the extensions registration so iOS doesn't know how to open files of a certain type. MultiTrack simply asks the system to present the system supplied sharing dialogbox, if it returns nothing, multitrack will pr...

Re: Unable to arm tracks

Hi aviavi, This might be the samplerate bug on the newer iPhones, which will also be fixed in the upcoming release. The workaround currently is to always use headphones. The problem is that the internal speaker/mic on the iPhone 6 and later use 48 kHz, so IAA nodes must be created at the hardware sa...

Re: Maximum recording time?

Lets try and calculate this here so it makes sense to me again. I like to do this occasionally because I always forget. 24 bit audio is 3 bytes. In stereo, that would be 6 bytes per 'frame'. There are 44100 frames in one second of audio. So far we got 6 * 44100 = 264,600 So 1 minute would be (60 * 2...
