Re: First Impressions...

I cannot believe that all this goodness is crammed into just over 1Mb - crikey, have you used only raw assembler code? Believe it or not, it's coded in 100% Objective-C and OpenGL for rendering. Most all optimizations were from a higher level, objective-c is such a perfect language that it's really...

Re: Anazing app, so what's next

Wow! That is all great news and great stuff. I think the 2.0 plans are quite ambitious and far surpass my expectations. Maybe it was implied with the timecode and ruler, but there was no mention of a metronome. That's a biggie for me. Oh yes. Not sure how that got left out. Version 1.1 will have th...

Re: Input options and microphones

Does the input volume slider actually control the analog mic input gain, so that, for instance, a loud sound source that distorts can be recorded without distortion? Unfortunately no. When the microphone itself clips, there is really no way to avoid distortion, other than using another mic which su...

Re: Anazing app, so what's next

This interruption happened repeatedly. I finally on intuition and a hunch went into the iPod and went to the video area and started a movie and paused the movie, rather than leaving the iPod in the music playlist function. Low and behold, that seemed to work. Back into MultiTrack, and she did not g...

Re: Input options and microphones

I'm using a 32gig touch version 3.1.1. I've tried the A/V cable and it doesn't work. The only way I can get multi Track to work is with the Apple headset/mic. I tried loading the mic cable with a 150 ohm dynamic mic and still nothing. Is this because it is no an iphone? Does the volume adjuster on ...

Re: Anazing app, so what's next

and then have the whole transport get bigger when you touch it to make the controls more accessible (which is a great work around that you've developed for this app by the way). I was pretty proud of myself when I first 'discovered' that UI system. I imagined a panning knob that you could actually ...

Just another question, sorry to bother you: which type of microphone can I use with the iPhone? A normal one (e.g. my Sanson)? Or a special one?

Thank you!

Re: Anazing app, so what's next

Thanks guys for your input. These are all great suggestions. See here for preliminary input options: Input options and microphones I'm still really banking on a metronome coming soon to make this my go-to app (if I go through the time to add in click tracks, etc, it's kind of defeated my purposes fo...

Input options and microphones

iPad USB: The iPad (1, 2, and 3) can use the Camera Connection Kit to connect USB devices. The iPad 4 should use the Lightning to USB Camera Adapter. Any USB audio device which is full-speed USB class-compliant should work, but if the device draws too much current a powered USB hub is required . We...
