A nice little interface which packs a lot of features, including 8 inputs simultaneously on the iPad! Has USB 2.0 class compliant drivers and works flawlessly. Extremely high audio quality from RME.
Here's a video that features MultiTrack DAW at the 2012 NAMM show.

I saw a NAMM video (w. MT) a few days ago, which showed when they did a "class compliant" mode change to make it work for Ipad. I.e. they made it to also work for Ipad. However, I think I saw somewhere it would cost $1000 which is a bit too much unless the buyer also runs a studio.
The new small black Tascam IU2 interface (2 in + midi) looked nice though at $149 with included Idock-cable. Also works with computers. http://tascam.com/product/iu2/ Behringer also have a Alesis IO-dock clone. But what if the user prefers to turn the view 90 degrees? Might not cost too much maybe. |

This new sound card apparently has ADAT input, useful if like me youve got a 8 channel mic preamp. does anyone have any knowledge on whether inputs to the fireface thru ADAT will be seen by the iPad and MultiTrack?
Thanks |

Unfortunately not, however I have heard that this will be possible with a firmware upgrade. You will be able to create templates which are mappings of various hardware inputs to the Class Compliant topology setup.
