loop track

Post by travep »

Sorry for the newbie question. I have searched and haven't found it...probably because it is obvious to those with even small amounts of experience. I have learned how to import a drum track via WI-FI. I have created a track and have imported this 8 bar piece into the track. Now, I just wish to loop it so I can play to the track. Simple. However, I can not figure out how to make repetitive this 8 bars for the length of my recording. I see dots on the corner of the track when I press/hold on the track. I try to expand the track and grow it length-wise with no luck. I can paste another copy in the track and move it to the edge of the first but it doesn't ever line up perfectly so it's unusable. Can someone please help me with this basic maneuver? Thanks!

You need 'Snap' in the menu, you can then slide the 2nd copy precisely to the end of the 1st. Pro tip: if you copy those 2 and paste to get 4, and copy those 4 to get 8 etc, you can quickly tile an entire song.
