New ipad Pro 10.5 & 12.9 any issues?

Just wanted to see if any of the administrators (pwnified) or users have been using the new IPad 10.5 and/or 12.5
It has some new graphics/screen features such as IPad pen quicker latency, a new "Pro Motion" and auto adjust screen refresh rate, etc.
I know I was having issues a year or so ago with the screen motion (turning off the reduce motion fixed) etc.
I use a Focusrite Scarlett Solo 2nd Gen with apple usb/+power cord adapter on my IPad Pro 9.7 with MXL990s and works like a champ without issue. Are there any known power/adapter issues, iPad pen (or similar) latency response with MTD, pro motion etc and other bells and whistles on the new IPads (I intend on upgrading to new 12.9) that you have heard of or have tested?
Over 70% of my time on the iPad is making music and I have been religiously recording with MTD since 2012.

I figure it's best to post here and get the skinny from the MTD designers/anyone else already using them before I make the choice. If there are any credible" online bogs to check out and find out more info that would help too!

Thanks and awesome product! For me, the MTD continued functionality with the new IPad is 90% of the decision.

Hi Damonc,
I'm going to try and grab a new iPad and see what your talking about. I've been avoiding them =)
In general when apple releases new hardware with larger screen sizes, older apps should continue to work because the screen is upsampled to the higher resolution, so that shouldn't be an issue. However the framerate thing has me a little worried. MultiTrack uses the Display sync to do animations and the framerate should be consistent for it to work. If apple is doing some optimization where the framerate is dynamically adjusting, this could go bad. In other words, it doesn't matter what the framerate is, but it needs to be stable. I'll do some research, thanks for the tip.

Pwnified,

Just FYSA. There are audio latency issues with the new 2017 iPads (10.5 and 12.9). I just got the new 12.9 512gb and will do some recordings this weekend.
I pulled up a track I recorded (vocals) on my old iPad Pro 9.7 and exported a .wav of the song at 44.1/24bit, I recorded at 5.6ms (with gear in original post) and of course used same IAA plugins. Vocals had latency issues.. vocals slowed just off tempo. Compared it to last export from previous iPad Pro and a big difference in latency. no changes to track, just opened and exported to see and yep. Did exports of other tracks and same thing. Just wanted to let you know. There are a lot of blogs about the issue.. below is the Audiobus forum on the latency and digital noise issues.

I will do some practice vocals this weekend and see what's up. May already be a fix in iOS 11. I usually don't upgrade iOS for a while until all the kinks are worked out. I'll post again and update with issues I encounter (recording with interface)

Update: iOS 11.1 (in Beta 4 now) lists a fix for the audio latency issue.
