First song completed with MultiTrack.

I had already recorded the main synth melody, synth pad and bass in GarageBand prior to purchasing MultiTrack. So I imported a mix of this onto one stereo track in MultiTrack.

The rest of the piece has 4 guitar parts. 2 guitars are mimicking the synth melody and they are panned full left and right. One has a chorus effect while the other a phaser effect. The other 2 guitar parts are distortion guitars to help thicken and add a little intensity to the mid section but are low in the mix.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Synth melody and synth pads are GarageBand sounds and played midi via Ensonic SQ1 keyboard.

All bass and guitar parts are sampled sounds from SampleTank for ipad and played midi via the You Rock Guitar midi guitar.

Used 2 iPads connect irig adapter and audio cable (It's good to have 2 ipads in the family) so I didn't have to do any copying and pasting of the guitar or bass parts.

All in all a simple tune but I'm happy with the results. My only complaint is that SoundCloud conversion of my piece added noise to the track. This noise isn't present in MultiTrack or any exports played on my Mac so definitely a SoundCloud problem.

Reminds me of the theme from Carpenders escape from New York movie (not sure of the name?). You know, the one with Kurt Russel.

thanks for the comments. I agree the writing style is a little 'Carpenter'ish' or at least it has has the early 80's film score feel. Maybe even a little Giorgio Moroder ala Midnight Express. I was a teen when those films came out so it wouldn't be surprising if they had an impact on me.
