Re: Input options and microphones

Just got The Samson Meteor. It's a USB large diaphragm condenser that works with the camera connector on iPad. So far, it sounds really nice and warm, has a great s:n ratio and consistently works when plugged in.

Re: Input options and microphones

Just wanted to confirm that Korg's Pandora PX5D effect box still works though the Camera Connector in 4.2.1. The Pandora Mini is the next gen of this model, but there's no listing of a USB Audio out in the specs. Anyone have a Pandora Mini and can confirm or deny it works?

Thanks.

Re: Input options and microphones

Anfirmor,

The camera connector kit is just not designed to work the iPhone, only the iPad.

Re: Input options and microphones

Dr. Grace,

The design of the iMic has been the same since it was first released. However the specs are very loose. It's possible that any two units may function somewhat differently. But what you describe shouldn't be normal.

Re: Input options and microphones

Just wanted to give a report on the iMic. It works fine with the Camera Connector and OS4 on iPad. I have a really old one and bought a new one to compare. Both are about the same. I was surprised that the recording quality with the iMic was better on the iPad than on my old PowerBook that I bought ...

Re: Input options and microphones

Jorgen, Sorry for the late reply. The TuneTalk sounded fine, but I was getting a noticeable amount of noise with both the mics and the line in. For those interested: OS4.2 has crippled my CakeWalk UA-1G USB audio interface. Can't get it to work at all. The Yeti has gotten less predictable, but works...

Re: Input options and microphones

Word on the TT: Before I got the iPad and DAW I used the TT exclusively when recording both mic and line in. The mics are decent, giving you a natural sounding stereo and a wide presence. It's downside is that both the mic and line in have a substantial amount of hiss. I had to use a serious amount ...

Re: Yeti and multitrack problem, cannot use device

ubi, Not sure about signing up for the developer forums, but it used to free and fairly easy to get in. I know there's some kind of small developer fee now if you want to post apps in the app store, but I think it's still free to join, if you want to go to all that trouble. I know with my Yeti and t...

Re: Yeti and multitrack problem, cannot use device

Let's just say that most USB devices that work with the CCK are temperamental. You may have to plug the Yeti in a few times to get it to connect. It's best to restart your iPad before using MT DAW anyway since it can use a lot of the iPad's limited resources. (Hold the Sleep button on top for 8 seco...
