Best settings for recording an acoustic grand piano...

I have been working on recording my acoustic grand piano and am just getting a wall of sound basically. Wondering if there is someone out there with experience on what the best settings are, etc.

Also, I have an iPad Pro and am wondering if the mic on it is good enough for CD quality.

Hi LCM, Try turning on measurement mode in the Settings App > MultiTrack > Measurement Mode > ON.
This will remove the apple default processing and sound much better for live instruments.
