How to monitor a second live track with earbuds

Hi, I'm trying to lay down a second track on a previous instrumental track. I'm using wired earbuds on my iPad. I need to hear the first track through them and also the new track be recorded. All I can hear through the buds is the first track. Is there a setting to also output the live recording at the same time?

yes absolutely, try 'Input Monitor' from the menu. You might also lower the latency for better results (Close song -> Gear icon -> Options -> Buffer Latecy to 1.4 ms)
