32 bit float work flow?

Post by Jakefite »

Is there a guide to the 32 bit float work flow in this app. I’m familiar with working with 32 bit float. However, when I used the export feature to upload into reaper I could reduce the gain like typical 32 bit files. It’s bot exactly clear if the tracks are being exported as 32 bit float.

Also, is it even possible to gain adjust recorded tracks in the App.

When exporting as wav, they will always match the project format ie. if you have 32bit float project, all exported wavs will be 32 bit float. Also, all copy paste, imported files etc will use the project format or convert to the project format.

As far as destructive editing, there isn't really a way to do that in multitrack. Unless you count mixing down with normalization, which is the only optimal level for a file (being used as a source asset).

But if you mixdown to Stems and turn Normalization off, the files will still be normalized but the maximum peak from all the files will be used (achieving Full Scale in at least one of the files). The point of that, is to not have to do any gain adjustments if you drag the stems into another daw.
