File types directly supported?

A user since 2011, I thought all files imported to tracks had to be .WAV but looks like times have changed.
.FLAC and .OGG seem to work fine without conversion.
Any others?

Here is a list of the readable file extensions:
wav, flac, mp3, m4a, alac, ogg, m4b, m4r, m4p, aac, aif, aifc, cdda, 3gp, sdv, caf, amr, mp4, m4v, mov

And multitrack can write these formats:
wav, flac, mp3, m4a, alac, ogg

MultiTrack stores lossless wav in each songs database, so any audio imported into a song will be copied/converted to the songs bitdepth/samplerate in wav format.

Thanks - great to know it handles all that.

Just to be clear — regardless of format imported, tracks are stored as .wav files, so there’s no storage savings on my device?

Yep, that's right. So it makes sense to import with the highest quality since it's converting to the highest quality anyway.
