Confirmed: Bug with mixdowns

Post by pwnified »

I'm currently tracking a bug that happens in the "Sharing" tab of the "Help/Sharing/Updates" browser. This bug is causing weirdness with mixdowns and even crashes, it happens on 3.1.4. Unfortunately it will be a while before an update can be approved, but in the meantime, here is a workaround:

First make sure the song is stopped (not playing), and all tracks are disarmed. Before tapping the "Upload" button from SoundCloud sharing, or the "Send" button for email sharing, or the "Mixdown" button for iTunes File Sharing, wait at least 20 seconds.

It is important to wait the whole 20 seconds or more, if you don't, it's possible that multitrack could crash, or create a bad mixdown. This is 20 seconds from the time you pressed stop, to the time you tried to create the mixdown. In other words, there needs to be 20 seconds of audio silence from the app before is starts to create the mixdown.

Apologies for this seemingly ridiculous bug, I'll have a fix as soon as humanly possible.

BTW, Wi-Fi mixdowns are not affected and are working fine.
