Ipod newbe - How do I upgrade?

Is it just to download the latest version to my Itunes account with no additional payment?

...I'm new to the Apple world...

(By the way. I noticed that the adding 16 tracks cost exactly twice of adding 8 tracks on the US based site: ~$8 and ~$16, while the Swedish Itunes store charge more than twice for the 16 track upgrade compared to the 8 track upgrade. Not that it matters for me though.)

Hi Erik,
You can update the app either in iTunes or on the device itself. I prefer the later.

When your on a wifi network
On your iPod open the AppStore app.
Click the update tab
click update all
Password
It will update directly to your iPod. The next time you sync it will copy back to iTunes.

No charge.
