volume Adjusting regions/events or punch-ins

Post by dredre »

Hello everyone...

I'm working on a song using Garageband and MultiTrack... however, we had a few places where we needed to punch-in a few parts... is there anyway to adjust the volume of that region/event/newly recorded clip... We got a little excited on the punch in and it is louder than the rest of the vocals takes :-) Of course we can always re-record...but a little volume nudge would also do the trick.

thanks in advance

When something like that happens to me, I put the new region on another track and adjust the volume that way. I don't know of another way to do it.

hmm oh ok... so can i copy the region back to the original volume after i've adjusted the volume... and it will reflect the lower volume?

I don't think you can change the level at which the vocals were recorded. You might try muting all tracks except your vocals, getting the mix you want, and doing a mixdown to file sharing. Then open another empty track, open "bins" and paste the new mixed vocal track in the empty track. That's the only way I know to do it.
