Using MMC or MIDI to control transport functions

:?: Hello, I am using an AKAI MPK 25 to interface IK Sampletank on IP4 into DAW thru Alesis IO DOCK and am having difficulty understanding how to get the MPKs transport functions to control the DAWs transport functions. I would appreciate any ideas.

Multitrack isn't listening for midi messages, at the moment.
