Fade in and out

Please...what are the steps for this. Mentioned in app help but no specifics.

Scroll the track rail to where you want to put your fade. Tap and hold the region and open the hotbox. Slide your finger down to "edit". You should see two circles/handles at the end/beginning of the region. Drag the circle inside the region to reveal the fade curve. Set it to wherever you like.
