Monitoring through headphones when using the camera kit

I have the Ipad 3 and I have hooked up a USB interface through the camera connection kit. The problem is I can't monitor through headphones in the headphone jack when using that input. I can't hear any audio that I have recorded. I can only hear it if I removed the camera connection input. Is there a way to solve this?

Sometimes the order you plug things in matters. Try plugging the headphones in first. Does your interface have a headphone jack?

If you mean the headphone jack on the iPad itself (it wasn't clear from the post), make sure to use headphones (without mic), not headset. If you're talking about another headphone jack, let us know which interface it is.

I am having exactly the same problem. Doesn't matter what order things are plugged in. If the camera kit is used, no audio is output through the headphone jack.

Just tried my setup; connecting the CCK first then the headphones and then opening DAW. It all worked perfectly so I disconnected everything and tried again in a different order. This time no audio through the headphones so I disconnected them and then disconnected the CCK. Reconnected the CCK and plugged the headphones back in. The headphones then worked.

So I do think that the order may be important and you may have to persist in trying.
