Importing Audio Using iTunes

Post by ayampols »

Hello,

I am trying to follow the directions and import a few audio files at once using iTunes. I have a folder with several .wav files. I want to import these all at once and use them in a new song.
you will need to "zip" the folder [...] Once a song folder is compressed to a zip, you can [...] put the zipped song folder back into MultiTrack Documents [...] Tap to unzip [...] These items will also will be visible in MultiTrack in the "Shared" tab of the Bin Browser.

I zipped a folder of .wav files, copied into MTDAW, performed "extraction", and... nothing. I see no new folder anywhere, and I don't see the songs anywhere. It's almost like it didn't extract properly. There is no error message, and there's plenty of file system space on the device. The wav files are the same format that MTDAW creates (24 bit, 44.1 kHz uncompressed). The archive is valid.

Please advise.

You can just drop raw wav files into iTunes File Sharing without zipping them. The zip operation is only needed for song folders (projects), so the song project folder format is maintained. So, for wav files, just drop the wav files into the iTunes shared documents folder and they will be available in the Bin Browser of a song (Hotbox -> Bins -> Shared).
