How do I monitor when multi tracking?

Just purchased App. Very cool however I am not able to hear current track monitor when adding additional track overdubs? Silent, when I hit playback everything is there.

Currently using mike blue 2.0 in w acoustic standard headphones connected to output of iPad

Is "Auto Input" turned on in the menu? If so, turn it off, having it on is basically for the Punch feature. It allows hearing the background track outside the punch points.
