It appears to have a cable rather than a port, which makes me think it would work with that lightening cable. Just a guess. It also doesn't seem to have an XLR input.

I'm scheduled to get it by Thursday, I'll post on here to let everyone know how it works. Most of the YouTube videos I've found use it with Garageband. So I'm sure it works with other DAWs. Its def worth a $40 gamble.

BTW, I have read that you can add a connection to use with the lightning cable. They also sell one with the lightning adapter, it was on sale at Amazon, but not sure now. They are coming out with an HD model early next year from what I understand.

$40 is totally worth a chance. People are still paying $20-$30 for the original iRig. Good luck with it.

Went to Guitar Center this weekend and they price-matched the Sweetwater deal at $39.99, although I got the last one in stock.
The Griffin Studio Connect is a great little interface. I was surprised that it has a mono 1/4" jack for guitar and an 1/8" stereo jack for stereo inputs like from a mixing board. They cannot be used at the same time though.

I have since read several threads that Apple's 30 pin to lightning adapter does indeed work.

martygras, great move going to Guitar Center, I should have done that too.

So what do you think? Does it work great with MT-DAW? Audiobus? Latency issues?

What a nice design, both aesthetically and in execution.
Very clean with guitar and bass.
The noise floor is low enough that I can't hear it when cranked.
Tried it with Garageband, Auria and Jamup pro.
Had a strange noise in Jamup while waiting for the gate to close (muting guitar strings), but it wasn't very loud, so not a big deal. I was using the highest gain amp to test.

I will try it with MT DAW tonight. I want to see if I can split the stereo in to separate tracks though. Will see.

The form factor makes it nice and convenient to use as an audio dock for playing videos while the audio goes out to my studio monitors.

I received mine today and it sounded great with JamUp, GB, and Bias. Will try it with Mt-DAW and Audiobus tomorrow. So far so good.
