Hey gang,
Can anyone explain what the swing knob does? I understand what the "swing" function does on drum machines, but have never seen values like the ones on the delay in Multitrack DAW.
Is it [33% to 75%] or is it [-33% to +75%] How do you get zero swing?
I also don't quite get the sync buttons. Shouldn't there be a way to get a ping-pong or multi-tap delay? i.e. getting the left and right delays to work together alternately? Seems like basic delay functionality really. Maybe some sync settings for 1/4 note triplets, 1/8T, 1/16T etc.
I've been using hardware delays and vst's since the 80's, so I'm no stranger to standard delay tools.
And finally, Having a mix knob on a master bus effect seems unnecessary, but I guess it's because the reverb and delay share 1 bus. This way you can get a balance when using both reverb and delay simultaneously.
It would be great to have 1 bus for each master effect and an additional one that could fit into Audiobus' effect slot.
Thanks,
Marty

Re: Understanding the delay settings.
Did you ever get a reply?
Lame.
I'd sure like some info on those settings myself.

Re: Understanding the delay settings.
Sorry for the delay I must have missed this one.
So the 'Sync' function will lock the delay to the songs tempo, so that when changing the tempo the delay times will also change. For example, with the song at 60 bpm and the sync set to quarter notes, would be a 1000 ms delay. The 'Swing' control will be active if Sync is on, and will adjust the delay time from 33% triplet feel to 75% time and a half feel. 50% for the swing control is off (the default).
