iPad 1/iodock II - Latency

I just purchased MT Daw to use with my iPad 1 (iOS 5.1.1) and Alesis iodock II (with the most current firmware, I believe). In general things are working, but I am getting horrible latency when I turn on Input Monitor.

Is there a setting I need to adjust?

I haven't tried an iodock 2 yet, but it should be ok. Ok as opposed to horrible, but these are relative terms. For some people 30ms might be good, others it might be horrible. If it's on the order of 100 to 500ms (like half a second horrible) that points to a larger problem. Maybe try rebooting your ipad and start only multitrack first, then slide it into the dock and see what the popup says. You can change the latency if you close the song and tap the gear icon. Unfortunately you might have to restart multitrack between latency adjustments on the ipad 1, to do that, close multitrack and double-tap the home button, then long-touch the icon in the task bar and tap the red (-) in the upper left corner.
