Is it possible to record line in directly to iPhone

Hello all,

New here and I can't seem to find a forum that confirms it is possible to record direct into the headphone jack of an iPhone/iPad using this app?

My scenario: I make mixes on turntables going into a dj mixer, and would like to go out from an RCA output of the mixer into the iPhone headphone jack directly and record with this app. With no hardware in between, just an RCA to mini headphone cable. Is that possible?

You'd need a special adapter cable, like available here:

They cost more that just a straight cable, but unfortunately a straight cable just wont work.

It will also be a mono recording and not the highest quality. I recommend a USB input device for best quality. Take a look here for some ideas: http://www.harmonicdog.com/inputoptions/
