M-T DAW changes input when I plug in iPhone earphones!

Post by Danbs10 »

Hi, I am using M audio usb interface into my iPad and using multitrack daw (obviously). The problem is when I plug in my iPhone earphones for monitoring it automatically changes the input to the mic that is on the earphones and does not give me an option to change the input back to my m audio interface!
Please tell me there is. Way around this.
Thanks

Unfortunately this falls under Apples control, they use a "last in wins" strategy. The good news is that if you use plain headphones without a mic (ie. not headset, with mic), it should work. An aggregate audio i/o device will be created, consisting of the input section of the USB device and the internal output section.

Oh ok that's a bit of a pain!
Thanks for your help.
