Haven't we seen this before? The dreaded insert effect won't pan thing?

Mic Room seems to be really flakey as an IAA effect.
I like what it can do for some of my direct guitar tones. Puts a little cushion on them.

Yes, this seems to be the case when the effect doesn't properly support 2 input channels. IAA doesn't provide the host a way to know how many channels are supported by each effect, so multitrack assumes each effect supports 2 channels, like Audiobus does. Unfortunately some guitar effects, which are usually mono type apps, didn't get the memo. But sometimes the effect app does have some option for it in settings, like to choose Left, Right, or Left + Right for the input. If that's the case, make sure to choose Left + Right and panning will work again in multitrack.
