when there are no earphones on my iphone 12 i can select from 2 inputs: mic bottom, mic rear and mic on top (of iphone)
when i plug earphones it changes so i can only select the earphones mic
desired:
I would like to be able to select all available devices as output as well as all available as input even if those are separate devices.
example:
i wold like to be able to record using the built in microphone (which has better quality) and have the output stay onto the plugged lightning earphones
example2:
having the input set to a lightning microphone and the output to the audiojack earphones on older phones.
that would be great thx!

I don't think it's possible to manually select the input section of the internal route when external inputs are present. Also iOS operates in a 'last in wins' strategy so the last inserted input will override the route. You can use headphones without a mic, though, and the internal microphones will still be available.
