Okay, I've clicked through to the multitrack page, but the update button is not enabled. When I click on the purchase/update/downloaded button, I briefly see the purchase price, then it goes back to the greyed-out "Downloaded" state. The pull down menu on the side will let me gift the app, tell a friend, etc., but I don't think I have any other options. I checked this on both site listings (iphone app & ipad app), though they are the same, right? Am I missing something?pwnified wrote:You'll need to click on one of those to get to the multitrack page, then you should see the update button enabled (upper left, under the large icon)Adam wrote: I searched for MT DAW in itunes on the mac. Actually, this is fixed in version 3.2, it must be that older version on your ipad causing it.pwnified wrote: Dammit, I thought I fixed that. Yes, you need to rename the tracks to not have a colon (:) in them. You can do that in from the wifi page, by clicking a track name in the browser. Apologies for that.

Uhg, yes, I see what you mean. How about this: with the iPad fully updated to version 3.2, connect it to iTunes, and then "Transfer Purchases" (right click the device in iTunes). Does that work to get 3.2 onto the mac?Adam wrote: Okay, I've clicked through to the multitrack page, but the update button is not enabled.

Okay, I deleted Multitrack on the ipad, then I downloaded it again via Wireless from the App Store, then I did the update, since it was listed as 3.1.6.2. Before I transfered purchases, I check to assure that the version on the ipad was 3.2. I had to sync twice for the transfer of purchases to show that it was transfering. Then I checked get info for the transfered copy, and unfortunately it still says 3.1.6.2. Indeed the version now on the ipad (though I downloaded the update) is the older version with no source option.pwnified wrote:Uhg, yes, I see what you mean. Did you sync before transferring purchases? Syncing is what is overwriting the one on the ipad. Please try the transfer purchases (right click) without syncing. If that doesn't work to get 3.2 onto the mac, disconnect the ipad, delete the app from the mac and download it on iTunes on the mac, before connecting the ipad.

The short version -- It worked!! See the long version below just in case it will help to troubleshoot for others.pwnified wrote:Did you sync before transferring purchases? Okay, this time I did not sync. I deleted Multitrack from the ipad and re-downloaded it so it was certainly 3.2. I then disabled automatic syncing on the Mac as a precaution, hooked up the ipad, and transfered purchases. I didn't see any evidence that the update transfered. Then I looked at the app in the desktop library of apps. The get info screen still said 3.1.6.2. So, I think I've clarified that the first strategy doesn't work.
Second Strategy -- I disabled all wireless syncing and basically any opportunity to sync without me pressing a button (this was to protect my data on the itouch & iphone), then I deleted the app from the mac and re-downloaded 3.2. This time it worked. Turning everything off and resyncing did not revert to the 3.1 version. I think it's entirely gone.
It looks to me like the issue is wireless syncing and automatic syncing. I assume these are more popular strategies lately, so it this problem may happen to more people. It looks like I can go ahead with my audiobus/DAW/app playing. Thanks for all your help!!

Glad you got it going! Thanks for checking that out, and apologies for the first strategy not working. I'll have more information on the app store issue hopefully in a bit.
