Joining regions

Is there a way to join regions within a track? I sliced a bit of a wave from one continuous region but when I go to line the remaining regions together I get a very small gap.

A visual gap or an audible gap? If it's audible, try zooming into the boundary and use the Hotbox to Edit the fade handles. Drag the fades as short as possible. The fades default to a very short 128 samples, but you can adjust them to be shorter (down to 32 samples). With the fades at 32 samples, the gap should be practically inaudible, depending on the amount of sound at the split point.

If you still can't get rid of the gap, you could always move the other region to an adjacent track, zoom way in and "crossfade" the two.

It was both. Thanks much for the reply. I'm finding out that editing is not as easy as I thought. Not this app...in general.
