Having trouble with Blue Mikey 2

Post by Tribesman »

Hello friends,

I am a new member, iphone and multitrack DAW user, but I am very thrilled with the possibillities it supports for my recording endevors. I just bought a blue Mikey 2 to use with the multitrack DAW app and for some reason, I'm having some trouble. Without the mic (using the iphone mono mic) the input is clear, and smooth, but when I plug in the mikey, the input level goes extremely high to a very uncomforting screech. This goes for all three sensitivety settings too. I've also tried, plugging the mic in and then openning the app and also plugging it in after openning, but still the same screech persists.
Then I decided to try it out on other recording apps like garageband and there it works fine. Beautifully actually, but I really like the ease and flow that the multitrack DAW has, so would really appreciate any help with this if there are some ideas from anyone.

Thank you,
Will Jennings :)

Sounds like feedback, turn off the Speaker Out in the menu of MultiTrack. When not using headphones, yout might also turn off Input Montoring.
