Ghost audio?

I seem to have picked up a bit of "ghost audio" from some where. I'm copying and pasting from 3 different apps, if that helps. Thing is on one track a I get a loud noise. Sort of like a "crackle" or spark. I erased the audio from that track but still get the noise. I then erased the whole track and repasted the audio in. Same noise.

I played the audio from the source app. No problems.

Well, apparently one should not have MT open when performing a copy from another app. Perhaps it's a resource issue . In any case, problem solved.
