Headphone mix when recording

Hey everyone. When I record a new track I'm getting the headphone mix in the background kind of like if I were recording with a microphone and the headphone mix was playing through monitors, only I'm recording direct using a tascam iXZ. Just wondering how I can eliminate this. Thanks.

The Tascam iXZ is a headset connector device, so it will suffer the bleed, or crosstalk problem of that particular input. There isn't much to do about this unfortunately, it's an inherent problem with that headset input. You can't eliminate it, but it's possible to minimize it by using another headphone amp, and turning down the iPad/iPhone output to lower the signal where it is susceptible to the crosstalk.
