First Post. Hello everyone. I’m pretty new to iPad recording, but the Multitrack DAW has been pretty great to work with so far. I’ve looked through the forums and the FAQ first, but I can’t find an answer to my question.
Is it possible to import a Garageband iPad session into Multitrack DAW and still have the separate tracks? I can email it and then open it in the bin, but it’s a two track mix. I’m using GB for its loop, virtual amps and tempo changing abilities, but I’d like to do the real mixing, overdubbing and mastering in DAW.
BTW, I'm totally blown away at the home recording options available today. I went to recording engineering school in 1999 ans we learned how to balance multi-track tape machines. Things have changed a LOT in the last 15 years.
I’m so sorry if this has been covered many times before.
Thanks!

Re: Import Separate Tracks From Garageband?
bump.
Anyone know if this is possible? I have bandmates who only know how to use GarageBand, but I need to do some additional mixing, and it would be nice to import their projects.

Re: Import Separate Tracks From Garageband?
You can do this by muting all the other tracks that you don't want to share with MTDAW. If you want to export all 8 individual tracks you'd have to do this 8 times.
Is this what you're asking?
