clips and grid...how

I'm importing 2 bar loops from a drumloop app; I still can't get the clips to snap to a bar, or even the cursor. Nice program, but I feel a bit like a miss-buy. I would like to build an arrangement out of loops, just like that's EASY in garageband. The reason I bought this app is because it seems to have more mixing possibilities, but if I can't line clips up to a grid it was a waste of money.
Any help is appreciated...

First, use the metronome (upper left) to change the tempo to match the loops. Also use the arrows on the sides of the metronome controller to make sure the ruler displays bars/beats (and not seconds/minutes). Next, turn on Snap from the Menu.
