Punch Markers Appear In Faraway Locations

Post by ayampols »

Hello,

A question about punch in and out markers.

I am unable to reproduce the steps from the instructions http://forum.harmonicdog.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=47. These imply that all it takes to get punch indicators at 26.1.1 and 27.1.1 is to enable the Punch menu.

In my experience, one needs to first find the indicators, which mysteriously appear toward the beginning of the song, and then move them over to where one thought they would appear -- either near the playback head, or the part of the song one is viewing when selecting the "Punch" menu item.

How can I reproduce the instructions, which make the process sound so easy and intuitive?

TIA,
-Armen

Well, when turning on "Punch" from the Menu, those red punch handles will appear at the place they were last used. They default to a couple seconds into the song, but once you move them, they will retain their position, even when closing/reopening the song. I suppose it would make more sense if they retained their position only when turned on, and always just appeared on the screen when selection the punch menu option, thanks for the feedback.

Could you update your documentation? Currently the instructions shows that, for a new song, they magically appear at 26.1.1 and 27.1.1. As you concede, this is not true.
