RAW MTDAW files question.

Post by fgplayerx »

When I transfer files via WIFI it always say Converting and then Transferring on my iPhone. What are the specs of the RAW recorded files inside MTDAW? Are they really 24bit or are they converted to 24bit afterwards?

They are stored in the projects format, and converted to this format whenever added to a project (by pasting or recording), but only if the input format doesn't match the projects format. Also when exporting, they will be converted to the export format if it doesn't match the project format.

Thanks pwnified,

I did not really understand your answer completely; but I figured it out.

I made a zip file of a small project. Then transfered and opened it on my Win7 computer. And then looked for the audio files inside the "bins" folder. I then checked that the files were made of true 24bits audio samples with Goldwave. And surely enough, they were 24bit audio sample files.

Thank you for taking time to answer.
