With all apps and firmware updated I could not get settings to stick when switching to MTD from Taylor EQ app on iPhone 4s, even when using workarounds posted here. My solution:
Delete the Taylor EQ app, and set levels with the GuitarTone standalone app.
I wrestled with saving settings after switching from Taylor EQ app to Multitrack Daw for a good part of a day this weekend. Under no conditions could I get savings to remain after using the Taylor EQ app. But all works as advertised and desired when using the GuitarTone standalone app. You do lose the Taylor presets, but easy enough to replicate elsewhere in the line if desired. I just make sure the guitar amp simulator is turned off and get a steady, dry feed going back and forth (GT/MTD) many times while fine-tuning levels and recording etc.
I'm using most recent versions of apps and GJ2 firmware, iPhone 4, iPad2
Hoping to save a few people from hours teching rather than playing.

Thanks for that! Sounds like the Taylor EQ has a bug.
