When recording a vocal track, levels are not always consistent due to the singer moving to and from the microphone. An easy fix is to slice that section then copy and paste it to a new track. At that point, I simply make level adjustments as necessary. The problem I'm running into is pasting the section into the EXACT time location as the previous track. It's very difficult to line it up perfectly, it's always off just a little.
Question 1:
How can I paste the section so that it lines up PERFECTLY with the same section of the previous track?
Question 2:
Obviously it's easy to create a new track at the bottom of all my tracks, but how do I create a new track immediately below the track I'm copying/pasting from for organization?

Re: Copy/Paste Location
For questions 1, turn on Snap in the Menu. And move the playhead to a location where you want the slice (you can zoom the display to reveal additional snap points in the ruler). If you open the Hotbox "close" to the playhead, the slice will be made exactly at the playhead. By "close", I mean within the handle size distance of the playhead. Now when pasting onto another track, you can snap it to the same place vertically.
For question 2, unfortunately not at this time. I'm working on a track reordering feature though.
