Autotune -- current best option for DAW?

Post by Tabbycat »

I've resisted the autotune, but I'm doing lots of a capellas and need it, if sometimes only as an effect.

Is there an app I can xfer individual tracks to and apply autotune?
Will it always be one track at a time?
That would be a real PITA.

Another option: use a rack-mount hardware device on input.
Would this be practical?

(Aside from the total lack of portability and need for some kind of mount, that is.)

I've used the one in IK Multimedia's VocaLive and the ReTune plug in Auria. I was looking to tame some slightly sharp notes (always been a problem for me). I was unable to get anything usable in either. Had to keep singing, even reworking the melody and changing the key in one instance. Good luck and please let us know if you find an iOS one that works.
