FX Question?

Post by Hydra Vein »

Hello all,

Just registered, been lurking a while. Love MultiTrack. It's got a lot of features, fairly easy to use, and doesn't make my head spin as much as some other creations.

I have a question about the FX options. I have one track, with an electric guitar, lead/solo tone. I sliced and cut the end portion of the wave form and added it to a different track, added some fades and FX, and it gives it a nice fade out, then back in.

Question is, I have the FX on the initial track, and the newly created track, with the portion I cut out and pasted, Yet when the original track fades out, and the end portion fades in, it sounds different than the waveform I took it from. As far as I can tell, Compressor effects, EQ, and the FX Bus I have all set to the same paramaters.

ANy ideas what I could be missing? I can take screen saves of my FX paramaters, if it would be of help....

Not quite ready to have it listened to yet.....

Thanks in advance

I just tried something similar to what you described, and I think EQ and compression get copied. Try turning off the EQ and the compression in the pasted track. The reverb doesn't copy, so leave it on. See if that works.

Thanks for your reply, and experiment.

That makes sense. It did seem like the copied portion of the track was getting an over effect affect.

Sounds much better, like the original track.

Thanks!
