How to select input source?

Hello!
I have some trouble selecting the right input source (mic in) in Multitrack DAW on an iPad 1.

I want to record acoustic guitar via the built in iPad-microphone while using my headphones (Bowers&Wilkins P5) plugged to the iPad for rehearing the tracks played in before while recording.

Problem is that everytime I plug the headphones in the input source is automatically switched to the microphone which is inline with my headphone (normally used for phonecalls)

Why isn't it possible to choose between the iPad builtin mic an the mic I plug in with my headphones?

Unfortunately there isn't a way to select input devices programmatically. Apple uses a "last in wins" strategy. You can, however, use headphones that don't have a mic, then the internal mic will continue to be selected.
