Well it looks like apple have now allowed using the Camera Connection Kit with iPhone.
I'm using an Apple lightning to USB CCK into a behringer guitar to USB knock off (which is actually stereo in/out) and it works beautifully. These USB guitar dongles utilise Texas Instruments codec chips which are a bit greedy pulling about 50mA. I tred my Focusrite Scarlet for a laugh and was greeted by the "too much power" message. Powered hub will fix that. I bet midi will work too. Anyone tried it?
At last a bit more choice for iPhone users.
Hope this isn't an oversight on apples part which they will fix later.

hell yeah.
Oh, is it only on the new 5S/5C or was this on an iOS update? (7.0.3?)

Amazing! Thanks for the update. I've confirmed that it works on an iPhone 4 with the CCK, and an iPod touch 5th gen with the Lightning to USB adapter.
