I got a new focusrite 18i20. Very nice that i can use it as a standalone mixer with direct monitoring into headphones and record 8 channels into DAW.
I have had some issues using it with My ipad. Sometimes when i plug it into the ipad via the camera connection kit, it either crashes the ipad, or DAW won't see the input sources. I have tried multiple sequences of restarting DAW, rebooting the ipad, and rebooting the 18i20 and it is inconsistent. If i can't get this to be more reliable, then i may have to return it and try the presonus 1818vsl.
Has anyone had this issue and found a solution? I have the latest firmware update on the 18i20. Running the latest ios and DAW sw on my ipad 4.

Ok, I bought a powered USB hub and it works well now.
