Hi
I recently got Multitrack daw for iPhone. I am aiming to use this Daw to create songs on the move from iPhone apps like DM1 as well as record DS10 from my nintendo.
The main thing I need to get my head around is syncing everything together. Stuff i have recorded so far needs cropping. I have found how to do this with slice but how do I accurately slice off to the beat? Is there no grid to snap too?
Also recording DM1 through audiobus, is there anyway to just press record and have DM1 start at same time? At mo I have to press record on MTD and play DM1 at same time. This is impossible to do with any precession.
Highly recommended is Inter-App Audio, that will sync start/stop and tempo, plus DM1 should be doing a synchronization using the host callbacks.
To trim perfectly to the bar/beat/bips/bops, use the metronome controller (upper left) and set the tempo. Keep tapping the right or left arrows until the ruler displays bars/beats. And turn on 'Snap' in the menu. All edits will be snapped to ruler lines, to get more lines in the ruler you can pinch zoom the display.

Can the looper be snapped to grid too?
Tap FX on your track controls, then tap IAA, then tap the box with the plus sign to access IAA apps.
Click on "menu" then tap "snap" to turn on snap function. The end of the loop stretches slightly further than the marker. I don't use the loop function, so I'm not sure if that's deliberate or not.
The IAA however seems to be missing, i have then what you describe on a vid or picture somewhere taken from iPad. On iPhone I just have Comp,EQ and Bus tabs in FX. I got latest version and no IAA
