apogee one , jamup pro and 2 tracks on MtD

Hello,
my chain is as follow:
apogee one (on which i connect a guitar) and i use the internal mic
jamup pro
multitrack daw
in multitrack daw i have 2 tracks, one for the mic of the apogee and another one for the output of jamup pro
my problem is that the effect applied to the guitar are also applied to the voice ??
could you tell me if it is normal ?

I think the problem in this case is that the apps (jamup and multitrack) both have control of the same inputs, ie. they can both see the same list of inputs and use them at the same time. Also, you can't use the internal mic at the same time as a USB device.

You can use the Apogee as 2 mono tracks straight into multitrack, by setting 1 track to Mono 1 and another track to Mono 2 in multitrack and arming them both. One for guitar, one for voice, and plug the mic into the apogee. Then you should be able to add track effects like jamup to the tracks individually. Unfortunately the effects don't get recorded or baked into the track so to play back the song you'll need the single global jamup instance for that track, because Apple only allows one global instance of each app at a time. I'm currently looking into a better system for baking effects onto tracks.

well done! you gave me the answer in the beginning by saying that both jamup and multitrack control the input ...of course you are right (-:
so by selecting only one input in jamup (the right channel) it has solved the problem and now in multitrack the jamup effects are only applied to the guitar track, wonderfull!
your software is really cool and perfect for my usage, thanks
