hi there,
i know there's info about this in the forum somewhere...what i need is a tutorial in how to do the copy the loop four times and then copy that section and then create a bigger section and so on. grabbing the end of a loop and dragging it across the timeline would be an awesome update.
thanks so much ; )

Re: dragging a single drum loop the whole length of the song
Start by adjusting the tempo to match the drumloop, and turn on snap in the menu. Paste the loop say 4 times and align them. Now select these 4 regions, and copy them. Now when you paste, you will have 8. If you select all 8 and copy/paste again, you get 16, etc.
The best solution like you mentioned would be the loop handle for dragging, that was the original plan. The above method isn't a huge inconvenience, but I will look into this again.

It might also be worthwhile to consider whether having a single drum loop run the entire length of a song is a good idea. For me, that would be sheer agonizing torture to listen to.
