Using 2 interfaces at the same time?

Post by jimmy sanchez »

Hi guys,

First time post. I was wondering if you can use several different interfaces at the same time? I have a behringer uca222 and a Samson gomic. Most daws will only let me record with one or the other at any given time. Can I use a usb hub with both plugged in and record 3 channels at once? Eventually I'd like to record up to 8 tracks at a time but would like to avoid the expense of an 8 channel interface if at all possible.

I was thinking a nice 4 channel interface with nice preamps and converters, and then the behringer to augment it for the less important audio.

Thanks.

Welcome jimmy sanchez,

Unfortunately not, iOS doesn't have support for aggregate audio devices like OSX does. Maybe someday Apple will add it, we can hope.

Yeah that aggregate thing is pretty cool it's a shame they don't offer it on iOS. Oh well. Thanks for the reply :D
