I am recording some music and recently went to a Denon mixer that had actual sliders and mutes to hopefully make life easier. I am now having a few problems, issues I didn't have with my Behringer. There is a massive amount of electronic sort or reverberating ambient noise, even when mics are muted. Second I'm not seeing the level indicator on tracks, just the input at the bottom. I feel like this is a new development as well.
Any help is appreciated.

welcome SRCEffects
As long as the interface is compatible with iOS, it will work with multitrack. When you plug in an audio interface with a song open in multitrack, you should get a brief popup indicating the current audio hardware. Also the IN fader (lower left) with change to represent the number of input channels available.
Make sure that the noise you're hearing isn't feedback by toggling the 'Input Monitor' in the menu. The VU Meters on the tracks should only indicate the playback volume of the tracks.
